It is true that over the centuries, science is coming forward with new logics to decline the existence of astrology. Researches are going on with a swift pace to rediscover the universe that has been already discovered by ancient astrologers. It makes no sense to waste recourses on discovering universe when astrology is defining it very clearly.

Astrology is not just limited to the prediction of the future but it is a comprehensive and logical study of solar system. It is also true that there is now resurgence for astrology as people have again started taking interest in knowing their future through stars. Probably, this is the reason why every magazine TV channel, newspaper and website keeps a special place for astrology as astrology zone. Almost every person knows his or her Sun sign and this is the most important astrological factor for knowing your future. So, it has become very simple to make horoscope for people. This entire game of movement of stars gets a high heed by all communication modes. These astrological zones help people not only in knowing their daily horoscope but also getting information about special forecasts that are based on daily, weekly and monthly periods. You can also find your rising star by casting a detailed horoscope with the help of few details that are based on the movement of planets, the changing position of planets and transition made by planets into other planets.

In fact, you can also know your future with the help of astrology zone by getting predictions made on the basis of your time of birth; place of birth and of, course the most important thing on the basis of your name and your father’s name. Thanks to the advancement of technology, making horoscopes has become simple and is understood very well by the people. The astrologers can make people understand the language of astrology zone easily. One can get predictions done on work, work issues, marriage and love, studies and lots more through astrology zone. With the revolution of internet technology, you can log onto various websites that are specifically developed for you. Hence, get connected with the cosmic world for your bright and happy future. Though, there are various branches of astrology, these days, predictions based on tarot cards and coffee mug reading are gaining popularity amongst the people who are always on the look out for better future.

In addition, you can also get your customized horoscopes within the short span of time. Well, a good astrologer is one who not only makes predictions but also explains the integrity involved in the astrology zone. After all, astrology is not about getting future predicted but is a science of planets that needs lots of concentration while reading someone’s past, present and future. Astrology has become an integral part of our lives and one often depends on it for a better prospect of a future. Well, basically, astrology is based on the movements of planets and involves lots of calculations based on their movements for a perfect future.

Yes, Most Daily Horoscopes are Junk — But Daily Horoscopes are not Real Astrology

Rebecca Brents asked:

You may know “astrology” through the pop-culture categories of dime-store booklets or through reading your daily horoscope in the newspaper. These are supposedly the descriptions of who you are and what’s going to happen to you today based on some mysterious elements at work in the sky and little more than the luck of the draw you were handed on the day of the year you were born. Usually the dime-store booklets are simplistic but accurate as far as they go. Daily horoscopes in the newspaper, though, resemble real astrology about as much as Styrofoam resembles real food.

I’m an astrologer. If I do say so myself, I’m a good astrologer … who has for over thirty years studied this intriguing metaphysical subject, and when people say the daily horoscopes in the newspaper are meaningless and silly, I have to agree. But it’s also meaningless, silly, and short-sighted to judge the whole field of astrology itself as worthless based on what even good, competent practitioners of the craft (and there are plenty of us around!!) agree are ridiculous distortions. Most daily horoscopes aren’t even an amusing cartoonish representation of what real astrology is all about.

It is possible to write a decent daily horoscope. In fact, I write one that reflects the varying emotional climate as it shifts and realigns itself — changing its focus sometimes several times a day. I publish it on the front page of the Enchanted Spirit website; it’s called “The Lunar Light.” It’s accuracy sometimes astonishes even me, and yes, I consult it myself quite often as I go about my daily routine. But the information there is just that … a point or two of knowledge to have and keep in mind.

I also stay aware of what else is going on in the sky the way I stay aware of the days of the week, the changing seasons, and the daily weather patterns. But, even I don’t run my life “by astrology” in any way I’d call superstitious or grossly inconvenient … and neither should you. I also say it’s just good sense if it’s stormy outside to dress for the occasion. Give yourself some extra time to get where you want to go. Plan for the unexpected. Keep in mind that the roads are slick and you need to drive with caution.

And when Mars is opposing Pluto in the sky … as it is as I write this article, realize it’s likely people are feeling pushed, impatient, hassled, and on edge. Tempers may flare. They may take foolish chances. They won’t react kindly to interference or delays. There’s a lot of resentment and anger floating around just under life’s surface — and it won’t take much to “set it off.” So … maybe a little extra patience can help defuse a problem — or avoid it altogether. Maybe a little extra courtesy can help ease this bump in the road for everyone. Maybe thinking twice before you act — or react — could add extra safety to the daily hustle whose deceptive calm … or already ruffled edges … conceals explosive possibilities.

If you ask me, that attitude that can’t hurt. As an astrologer, I know that any square or opposition between Mars and another planet indicates a time for caution … again, something to keep in mind. Stressed Mars energy (which is what an opposition or a square represents) is explosive, temperamental, and indicative of poor judgment — and there’s often something “spectacular” about what occurs at such times, when things go terribly, terribly wrong.

Mars was opposing Uranus the night The Station Nightclub fire in New Jersey became the 4th deadliest in U.S. history. Mars was opposing Uranus and Neptune when the Waco compound of the Branch Davidians was stormed … with the resulting fire and carnage. Mars was opposing the Moon and moving into an opposition with Jupiter on September 11, 2001 when the World Trade Center in New York City was demolished by terrorists. (Saturn was also opposing Pluto; the Sun was square to both of them; and Venus opposed Uranus. To an astrologer, it was a messy day in the sky as well as a tragic one on the ground. )

Mars was moving out of an opposition with Jupiter and into an opposition with Pluto the night Nichole Brown Simpson was killed by “somebody.” Mars was square to the Moon, Uranus and Jupiter the night Princess Diana was killed. And sure, most people on earth made it through those same nights without being murdered or dying in a car accident. So were there special reasons why those two women were particularly “at risk” at that time. Yes.

The night Nicole Simpson died, Mars — already “in trouble” in the sky was conjunct her Natal Mercury (an indication of possible arguments and decisions made in anger), opposing her Natal Neptune (an indication of self-sabotaging or self-destructive actions), and square to her Natal Uranus (an indication of hasty, ill-considered, impulsive actions.) Are these the best conditions under which to walk out of your house and confront a shadowy figure in your driveway, whether or not you know … or think you know … who it is?

(The best theory I have read about what might have happened that night suggests OJ, angry at his ex-wife’s appearance at their daughter’s recital with another man, MAY have gone to her house, not to kill her, but to slash her tires — expecting that his imminent trip out of town that night would give him an alibi for the incident. That explains the timing of the attack — just prior to the limousine coming to take him to the airport — and the reason why he was at her house with a knife. But Nicole’s mother had forgotten her glasses at a restaurant that evening, and Nicole was watching for Ron Goldman to drop them by her house on his way home from work. Instead, as the theory goes, she saw “somebody” messing with her car, went out to confront whoever it was, and was killed when that “somebody” panicked at being discovered.) This scenario certainly fits what her horoscope describes.

The night Princess Diana died, Mars, again “under pressure” in the sky was square to Natal Mars in her chart (indicating actions “at cross-purposes” with each other). It was conjunct her Natal Neptune (indicating self-sacrificing actions and actions undertaken for emotional rather than logical reasons). It was square her Natal Uranus (again indicating hasty, ill-considered, impulsive actions.) It was square her Natal Jupiter (indicating excessive, “over the top” reactions.) Probably not the best conditions under which to get into a high-speed midnight chase with the paparazzi through the streets of Paris … to say nothing of having a drunk at the wheel.

Might knowing that the energies afoot at the time were “problematic,” and that those energies in comparison to placements in their Natal Charts were especially dicey have offered these women at least a chance to rethink their fatal choices? It’s a question without an answer, of course. And it’s not the kind of information you’ll ever find in a daily horoscope. It is, however, there for anyone to read if they know literally “how to read the signs” … or if they have someone they trust help them decipher the celestial code.

And if knowing these conditions exist and listening to what they mean helps me get myself and my family more safely through the “trouble spots” of life, I’d be an idiot to ignore them. Some people may think that’s the equivalent of clutching a rabbit’s foot and muttering incantations. Maybe they feel the same way about holding a rosary and reciting prayers for protection. But I believe prayers work, that thoughts are things, that extra caution is never misplaced … and that information is power. So I will keep on reading charts … and heeding what they say .. and agreeing with those who say most daily horoscopes, as an example of real astrology, are pretty darn useless.

Chandrradevi asked:

Astrology is the study of planetary position to determine the course of things ahead in life as well as event and details concerning past life or karma. The earliest recording or sign of astrology was found in the 3rd millennium BC. Astrology has over the course of time, influenced culture, early astronomy and other disciplines.

Astrology uses two ways of predicting the future – one is astrological transits and the other is astrological progressions. It is important to understand how both play, in the way a horoscope is read out and predications made. Astrological transits look into the movement of planets and the impact of such movements in space and n personal horoscope. Astrological progressions use a set of methods to determine how a horoscope ha s moved forward in time. Now-a-days, astrologers no longer predict actual events. Instead what they do is bring out various general astrological events in order to have better results and give importance to arbitrary and unrelated events.

There are three main astrological traditions. These are Vedic astrology, Western astrology and Chinese astrology. Vedic and western astrology make use of an astrological chart or horoscope and make their prediction using the position of the Sun, Moon, and planets. However, the point of difference between Vedic and Western astrology is in the linking of zodiac signs to their original constellations, which while is a feature not present in western astrology, but is considered of paramount importance in Vedic astrology. The chief characteristic of Vedic astrology is in it’s use of nakshatras or lunar mansion and planetary periods known as dashas in future predictions.

Chinese astrology uses a means that is very different from Vedic and western astrology.

Instead of diving zodiac signs according to the sky, they are divided according to the celestial equator. Every zodiac sign here stands for a year and the sign is combined with a system that uses the five elements of Chinese cosmology to give a 60 (12 x 5) year cycle. Chinese astrology is a method not just used in China, it is used in m many Asian countries.

Now, the question is – can the future be predicted by astrology? Yes to some extent. Astrology, though considered by many scientific thinkers as some sort of superstition, is actually a science because there is considerable study that goes into making each prediction. Reliable astrologers have been able to bring out future influences to accuracy, but accuracy also depends upon providing correct information and doing knowledgeable calculations. Of the many forms of astrological methods available nadi jyosiam is considered to be highly accurate as it is based on readings of past life taken from leave available in Videesvaran temple in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

Astrology – What’s it All About

CME asked:

There is a lot more to astrology than the star sign predictions you see in magazines and papers.

According to Hindu mythology, the knowledge of Astrology, Yoga and various other ancient skills was handed down by the Gods to the Sages of the time.

The basis of astrology is that the behaviour of man is affected by the planets, i.e. the Sun, Moon, Mercury Mars etc, and when a person is born, the position of the planets at the time of birth has fundamental impact on the person’s life.

The key to astrology is the astrological chart or the horoscope. Each person has their own chart based on the time and location of their birth. Even a difference of 5 minutes can result in different charts, and also people born at the same time but in different countries can have different charts.

It is the astrological chart that is used for making predictions about a person. The chart consists of 12 houses, each representing an area of life, for example the 10th house represents a person’s career. Hence predictions can be made about different areas of a person’s life like career, marriage, windfalls, health etc by inspecting the planets within each of the corresponding houses on the chart.

Now you may be asking how the predictions can be made. Well as mentioned earlier, it all depends on how the planets were positioned when you were born. Based on the positioning, different planets will exist in different houses causing different effects which could either be good or bad for the house in question. So for instance you could have the Sun and Mars placed in your 10th house which is your career house. This positioning could mean that you will have a high flying career or it could mean that you will have a really bad career. Also because the planets are constantly moving in and out of the houses, your career could go through highs and lows in your lifetime. Similarly the positioning of the planets in all the other houses will influence other areas of your life.

Now the actual interpretation of the astrological chart varies, i.e. if a planet is in a certain house at a certain time, different people may give different interpretations, for instance one person may say something is bad and someone else may say the same thing is really bad. But you have to bear in mind that astrology is not an exact science, and astrological interpretation should be taken more as probability guide rather than as a surety. For example if you have good planet positioning in your 10th house then there is a probability that you will have a good career, not a surety.

Now you may think that the above is all a pile of cobblers, and that there is no value in astrology. But think again. The basis of astrology is how planets affect you. Now the planets affect the tides, and a human being is made up of a lot of water which could be influenced by the planets in the same way that the tides are.

Hence the planets could be affecting a persons personality (mood and behaviour) causing the person to respond in certain ways and hence influencing the outcomes of various events. Again remember, it is not being said that astrology is giving you a precise prediction for the future, but that astrology is providing possibilities for future outcomes, depending on a person’s behaviour which could be influenced by the position of the planets.

Ending on another interesting point, a person born in a particular month may not be the star sign that they think they should be according to general media. For example some one born on the 30th March who according to common understanding should be an Aries, may actually not be an Aries. Again depending on the astrological chart, they may be classified as some other star sign, maybe a Leo or Gemini or some other sign. So you may actually not be the star sign you think you are.

The Purpose of Astrology, Applications and Implementation

The Purpose of Astrology, Applications and Implementation

Abstract

First let me make a short distinguish definition between Astrology and Astronomy. Astrology from the Greek word ‘star” and lógou`, “study of”. Astronomy from the Greek words astron “star” and nomos “law”, Astronomy is studding the movement, structure, and stars creation and formation.

Astrology is an ancient science, older than all the monoteistic religens, the roots of astrology are based in the dawn of civilization history, in the ancient world of Mesopotamia, I’m referring to the Akkadian Empire (2800 B.C), the Sumerian 4th millennium BC, and the Babyloniaian (2300 B.C.). In our days this area is called Iraq.

We can see the roots prosess along nearly 5000 years. Most of the worlds cultures had adopted and assimilated astrology techniques . Once cane learn, from China, India, Persia, ancient Egypt, the Hellenistic world, Arabic world, passing the Judaism along all generations and the Christian culture.

Our ancestors had already used the system of observation, and they had made statistical data processing.

Steven Forest in his book “The changing sky” A bantam book 1986 pp XVII.  Is saying, “Astrology is there in the roots of the intellectual tradition that led to modern astronomy, physics and psychology”.

Astrology was and is seen as the sciences “step-son”, However Astrology is entitled the title science not less than the  “Social Sciences” not mention so- called the Faculty of the Humanities, which are being taught, in the universities.

Astrology is and must work according to statistical data processing, its validity astrology gets through the concept of correlation, exactly, and in the same methodology as Physiology and Sociology, matter of fact as all the un precise sciences, and to those how are insist upon, we can add the concept “Paradigm”, Finalizing that issue in brief, Astrology should us all the researching tools and explanation as the social sciences do, coming to explain the validity of an theory.

There is an interaction between Astrology and Astronomy, Astrology is lending from Astronomy all the knowledge and the conceptual system about the cosmos, and the plants (BTW till the 15th Century Astronomy and Astrology were one discipline).

The basic difference is that Astrology is focusing upon the planet Earth as the center of the interpretational methodology, let my emphasize this, this approach is only for Astrological interpretation. Astrology does deny neither Nicolas Copernicus, nor Galileo Galilee. Hence we are saying that, let me emphasize the concept that there is no any contradiction between Astrology and Astronomy every and each of them is orbiting in his course.

The Purpose

Among the Astrological community there isn’t any agreement as for the right approach, every astrological consultant holds his views and opinion as for the right interpretation, furthermore there is a dichotomy as for the aims and astrology uses. Every group of astrologers is assimilating there on approach, which is consistence with their member’s values and life culture philosophy.

Iben Ezra was once asked about the roll of astrology, he answered that the roll of an astrologer is to help a blind man to cross the way with out being run over by a galloping herd of cattle.

Stephen Arroyo in his book “ The practice and Profession of Astrology” is defining the purpose of astrology.

At first he emphasizes that the astrologer implicates his philosophical view, since there are many kinds of astrologers there are many kinds of different influences.

However according to his opinion “ the purpose of astrology is to clarify to individuals the porous of the heavens” but once can never achieve this ideal fully,” little bit down to earth, the propose is to “ re-establish order, confidence, peace of mind” and to encourage self acceptance in oneself a or in others”.

The late Astrologer & Philosopher Dane Rudhyar (1895-1985) had defined Astrology as “ a form of personal guidance” see, Dane Rudhyar “ An Attempt at formulating Minimal Requirements for the Practice of Astrology” Baltimore, Maryland: Penguin Books Inc.1971 PP 14/

Dr J. Ben dove (History & Philosophy of sciences) hade submitted to the Israeli court a statement as an expert witness (Elizur Kedoshi Vs Tommy Lapid, Tel Aviv, November 2002)

In his statement he is defying Astrology “as a practice of advice and guidance which is based upon the connection between plants signs and symbols that gives an indication to personal & social process on earth”.

David Cochrane, the person behind the project Kepler, Pegasus & Sirius at Cosmic Patterns Software Inc is explaining in his article “Science or Superstition s” , see www.astrosofware.com/astrolog.htm.

“ Astrology is a Science is based on observation. More specifically, science is based on the scientific method” “you can begin to see the pattern of a person’s life, the inner drive and meaning behind their behavior, and you can really appreciate and respect, not just intellectually understand, people in a way that is difficult to achieve

Bernard Rosenblum M.D is a psychiatrist, practicing in N.Y, he is using astrology as an assisting tool in his work, in his book “The Astrologers Guide to Counseling” CRCS Publications 1983 pp 34-44.

Pre-Condition, Rosenblum believes that a counselor should be a person with a mature personality, a person who knows himself well, his weakness and advantages, such a person should be able to cope with pressure situations, and should know handling the client reactions.

Moreover the astrologer should keep for himself his cultural beliefs, his ego, and avoid playing power games.

Rosenblum is referring to three levels of the Astrological work with clients.

1. Astrological education – is what commonly goes by the term Chart Reading, it is mainly providing information of a general kind. There is little of a dialogue, sometime a minimal degree of counseling, it occurs when the client is mentioning a problem

2. Astrological counseling – this stage involves a dialogue between the Astrologer and client, the client is a active participant in order to aid him in the working out of current life problems

3. Astro –therapy – In this stage there is the astrologer participates in a regular ongoing way in the depth-psychological change of the individual.

Annie Heese and Adame Banks are determining to basic principals, what Astrology is and what it is not, (see) http://cafeastrology.com/articles/whatastrologycandoforyou.html

“Astrology is not fortune telling”. Astrology is a recognition that we have free will, Astrology ca help us in many way’s,” Astrology can pinpoint latent talents you may possess “. “Astrology can also point out expansive, rewarding trends that are coming up and assist you in figuring out how to take advantage of them before they fade”, most important is, that astrology always help’s us to be in complete control of your life, we are not ruled by the plants, but the plants are creating the opportunity, it is already been said “

The Stars Incline But Do Not Impel”.

Steven Forest ( op. cit. p XVI) is backing up this approach “ The purpose of modern astrology is not to forecast events .It is to help people make better choices”,” Not fate but freedom in the real world”.

The Implementation

Along history course, Astrology had developed several approaches and systems. Each approach and system has it followers and criticizers. I’ll mention only two, the Traditional approach and the Psychological approach. The Psychological approach had been developed alongside to the development of the sciences, finally the Psychological approach had shift the Traditional approach from its seniority, in the beginning of the former century. Lately and occasionally, we can hear, here and there voices saying, “we are tired of the Psychological mambo jumbo, it doesn’t tell us a thing”, well maybe it is time to walk in the middle way, a bit of this and a bit of that, to find the balance, and to integrate both approaches.

First of all let’s focus on the NATAL CHART, the natal chart is a “photography” of the planets constellation at the moment of birth.

The interpretation of that chart submits us with the profile of the chart owner, his potentials, his virtues, his weaknesses and advantages, the natal chart is the “gate” to self-awareness.

Secondly we can focus upon the CAREER & VOCATION chart, many of us are wondering many years “ what is our vocation”, the purpose of that chat is to submit an answer to that question, instead of a life long trial and error process, the purpose of that chat is to avoid wasting precious lifetime.

Thirdly, the RELATIONSHIP chart, al about the relationship between people, lovers, partners, the chart analyses and compare the Charts for two or more people, providing a compatibility and feasibility relation between the persons, the report is comparing the factors as fellows: togetherness romance, sexuality liability warmth, security tension, intelligence, motivation, harmony, family, psychological view of the partners and their needs, ability to function in a relationship and the suitability of the relationship.

Fourthly, RELOCATION chart, Relocation astrology provides the opportunity to get a sense of what a place might be like for you, even though you may have never been there. That could be of a great help, if you are planning to move or take a longer trip. Relocation report is a means of discovering where in the world you are affected and how. Not only can you understand what forces influence you in your present location but Relocation report can show you the best places on Earth to pursue your dreams, find spiritual growth, improved health, love and romance, prosperity or adventure.

Fifthly, BUSINESS ASTROLOGY   the aim of this chart is to helping to establish a winning business strategy. To give the idea what is the right business field, the right business location, business assessment, were is the right regional for establishing the business activity – Globally. The chart will indicate anything that needs opportunity for success.

Sixthly. EVENT TIMING chart, The birth moment gives indications of how the life of a person or event will unfold. The timing of important life events should be chosen carefully.  To Start a new business or professional venture at the best time, to ensure success such as marriage, opening a business, or buying a house, should be in a appropriate timing, you should do those activities on the best day and time for their specific event.

In conclusion, Astrology isn’t forecasting at least not anymore. Astrology is a tool to get solution for our daily problems. Astrology’s purpose is consultation, guidance and assistance, to clarify fellowman situation in the daily reality, in order to able to do the right steps in the decision making process. The stars incline but do not impel, and we should always remember the principal of the Free Will.

Astrology hasn’t left even a single sphere of your life from its purview. It throws light on almost every aspect of your life. This incredible stream can also give you some insight into your probable career. In fact a psychic astrologer could tell you a great deal about your basic instincts and traits that would help you ascertain a path for career making.

Astrological recommendations have in fact proved useful in zooming in on right career option for many. Your sun sign and birth chart happen to be full of mysteries related to your life that is unfolded by an expert astrologer in order to find out best possible career for you.

An analysis of various astrological houses can prove very handy in making a firm opinion on best possible career for a person. Planetary movements and specifically position of Saturn greatly reveal the success that you are expected to achieve in life. It is said that a Saturn staying in the tenth house ensures that you would be a great success on career front.

Even a Sun placed in tenth house is positive, from career point of view. Moon in tenth house indicates great role of luck in your career elevation. Mercury in tenth house shows your willingness to make money and also ensures that you make moolahs.

Jupiter in tenth house reflects that person is going to be a public personality, he is likely to take up acting, music or dance as a career option. In Vedic astrology, Rahu and ketu are two hypothetical planets which play crucial role in deciding your career.

Thus career path is ascertained by astrology through examination of various positions of planets in different astrological houses. Usually fourth and tenth houses happen to be under consideration. Some astrologers believe that position of different planets in tenth house depicts different careers.

I would recommend you to pay a visit to a psychic astrologer. A psychic astrologer could be of great help in guiding you towards a right career path to ensure your bright future.

A comparison of two favorable career options would help you chose the one that best suits to you. So, it is wise to seek astrological help for a wonderful career ahead.
